HDR with single Raw file.

An incredible sunset in the Painted Hills in Central Oregon.

May 2011 update – Replaced a 2 exposure HDR with a better single file edit accomplished using Adobe Lightroom.

MPC Entry for October – Nature Theme

Stowe Landscape Gardens were created from the 1700s when Sir Richard Temple employed the best garden designers and architects. The Temple family continued this work over several generations.

The HDR consists of three handheld exposures at EV -2.0, 0.0 and +2.0 taken using a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II prime lens; the software used was Dynamic-Photo HDR.

Autumn has arrived at last, bringing milder weather and even some rain. The garden has recovered remarkably well after the horrific summer we’ve just experienced. Compare this view with the same scene last January.

This is my local nature reserve which is a short walk from where I live. Although I love walking along the coast, it is also great to have some walks that you can do straight from home without the need to drive.
